Public Involvement: Harbor Drive/SW Naito Parkway Redevelopment Study
PDC encourages members of the public to participate in developing and reviewing the Harbor Drive and SW Naito Parkway Redevelopment Study. Local residents, business and property owners and other interested citizens will have the opportunity to review baseline information, help to identify site opportunities and constraints, and discuss and refine draft alternatives and the final preferred plan. PDC welcomes your participation at one or all of the public meetings that have been scheduled over the next three months.

Bus Lines on SW 6th Avenue/Hall Street: 1, 5, 8, 9, 12 and 19
Streetcar: Last stop at PSU Urban Center—SW 5th Avenue and Montgomery Street
Monday, April 19th, 2004, 6:00 - 7:30 PM
Kick Off Meeting:
- Familiarized participants with study area’s development and design potential under current zoning. Participants reviewed baseline information and identified key issues relating to opportunities and constraints.
- Meeting Outcomes: Public comments were used to identify key issues in developing the opportunities and constraints analysis and creating three conceptual land use and transportation/pedestrian alternatives.
Thursday, May 13, 2004, 6:00 - 7:30 PM
Workshop #1:
- Presented and discussed the opportunities and constraints analysis and three plan alternatives. Participants reviewed significant issues and suggested changes to proposed alternatives.
- Meeting Outcomes: Public comments were used to analyze and refine alternatives and create a preferred draft plan for Workshop #2.
Wednesday, June 2, 2004, 6:00 - 7:30 PM
Workshop #2:
- Present and discuss draft plan. Participants will review remaining significant issues and refine the preferred alternative plan.
- Meeting Outcomes: Public
comments will be used to help prepare a draft final report
and conceptual plan to guide redevelopment. Final report will be
available
on PDC’s website after June 30.
