Gateway Regional Center
Development Opportunity Services (DOS)
Starting March 1, 2006, PDC will begin accepting applications for DOS grants in the Gateway Regional Center Urban Renewal Area (URA).
DOS grants are generally used for specific predevelopment activities prior to construction, such as architectural planning studies, building inspection, engineering reports, market assessments, environmental studies and real estate financial analysis.
DOS grants are matching grants that reimburwse property owners for 80% of the cost of this feasibility work, up to a maximum of $12,000. Limited funds for FY 2005-06 are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. All properties within the Gateway URA are eligible for DOS.
You can easily see if your property qualifies for the DOS program benefits by searching for a specific address using the Portland Maps GIS mapping service, and then clicking on the Development link in the top navigation of the resulting query window.
