The Heritage Building Redevelopment Information - 3934 NE Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.
The ‘Heritage Project’, currently under construction, will renovate an existing 18,000 s.f. commercial building and add two more stories for retail and office uses. The program consists of approximately 12,600 s.f. office, 8,100 s.f. retail/restaurant, and 3,100 s.f. office/service. The building is envisioned to be a distinctive blend of high quality office and retail space in a unique, older building .
This project will be the first LEED Gold certified building in inner Northeast Portland and will be the only Class A commercial building NE MLK Blvd Corridor . In addition, the developer has exceeded PDC’s goals for 25% construction employment participation of minorities, women, and emerging small businesses.
Albina Community Bank is partnering with PDC to finance the $4.7 million project. Construction began in October 2005 and should be completed in November 2006.
