Workforce Committee

The Workforce Committee’s charge was to review workforce-related recommendations from 10 industry panels, identify gaps or missed opportunities, and provide expert professional analysis of the recommended industry strategies.

The Workforce Committee took a broader view than the individual industry panels in trying to ensure that the city, region and state have a well-prepared and highly qualified workforce as a driver for the region’s economy. Rather than focus on the shorter-term, industry-specific measures, the Workforce Committee called for the city/PDC to take a leadership role in facilitating structural change in the education/workforce delivery system from K–16.
