Finance Committee

The Finance Committee includes representatives from area commercial financial institutions, public and private venture capital firms and public agencies with lending programs. The Committee’s charge was to provide input to the city and PDC on the best ways to meet the capital and financing needs of local industry to support their growth and development. The Committee’s input will be incorporated into Portland’s Economic Development Strategy, along with the recommendations from other policy level committees and 10 key industry panels.

The Finance Committee’'s work began after the 10 Industry Panels have finished meeting. The output from each Industry Panel will include an assessment of the issues, challenges and opportunities facing the industry and recommended strategies to address those challenges and opportunities.
