PDC Wins Financial Reporting Award
For the 19th consecutive year the Portland Development Commission has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GOFA). PDC received the award for the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. Receipt of the Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting.
According to the GOFA, the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report prepared by PDC, ‘met the high standards of the program including demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.’
“We are very pleased and honored to earn this prestigious award,” said PDC Executive Director Bruce Warner. “Receiving this award is further proof of our ongoing commitment to spend public dollars in the best ways possible and to do so in an open and transparent manner. I am very proud of the many staff members at PDC who worked hard to prepare the report.”
