Albina Triangle Slates Opening Celebration
Event to Coincide with National Night Out
| WHAT: | The Albina Triangle is completed and will hold its official opening tomorrow, Tuesday, August 7. Urban renewal funds have transformed the Triangle into a plaza with curved seating wall, trees, native plants, rockwork, stormwater filtration system, a chess table, and new lights. Community members ages 9 to 90 helped create art tiles that adorn the seating wall. |

Partners in the project were PDC, Portland Office of Transportation, Bureau of Environmental Services, City Repair Project, artist Lynn Takata, Polk Family Fund, and the Humboldt Neighborhood Association. |

| WHERE: | 4500 N. Albina at N. Prescott Just north of the N. Mississippi Avenue business district. |
| WHY: | The Albina Triangle, although small, adds much-desired green space to the Humboldt neighborhood, one of the few park-deficient neighborhoods in North Portland. This event coincides with events celebrating National Night Out—a national event promoting neighborhood spirit. |
