Gateway Project Areas:
Central Gateway Redevelopment Strategy

New

Central Gateway Redevelopment

The Central Gateway area of Gateway is roughly bounded by NE Glisan, SE Stark, I-205 and 102nd Avenue. It is an area of mixed land uses, including:

The area is predominantly zoned for high-density employment, residential and commercial. It includes the transit station area at 102nd and Burnside.

As outlined in the Opportunity Gateway Concept Plan and Redevelopment Strategy, Central Gateway is envisioned to retain much of its flavor, with the additional of office/flex buildings, commercial or mixed use along 102nd, and residential uses largely north of Glisan.

The Central Gateway Redevelopment Strategy will involve a collaboration between PDC, property and business owners, public agencies and the general public to undertake a development vision and implementation strategy to guide the area’s growth and development for the next 15 years.

The Central Gateway Redevelopment Strategy is intended to build on previous strategic planning and analytical work that has been done in the area, to refine and update that work as needed, and to ultimately stimulate private investment and move planning goals forward into implementation. The consultant team led by Parametrix will work closely with PDC, the Gateway community and other public agencies to collaborate on a vision for future development.
